Physical Indicator @ Partners and Son (Philadelphia, PA) – 2024
“Each person in the world experiences the passing of time through an individual perception of truth. The work within Physical Indicator serves as personal record keeping devices for Carmel Dor and Suji Kanneganti, marking small and large moments within their lives. The exhibition narrates the flow of cycles and rhythms, highlighting the documentation process as a physical manifestation of the present and a reflection on deeper histories and futures.”
beLONGING @ InLiquid Gallery (Philadelphia, PA) - 2024
“beLONGING highlights the work of four LGBTQIA+ artists, Carmel Dor, THECOLORG, Abbey Muza, and Meg Wolensky. Each artist’s practice reflects on identity – what forms a sense of self? How do we find ourselves through resonance with others? Gestures of recognition and affirmation appear in each artist’s work, pointing to the idea of identity as an act of self-realization, a dialogue unfolding in between oneself and others in (nonlinear) time.”
Form and Formless: Constellations of Knowledge @ Urban Glass (Brooklyn, NY) - 2023/4
“The diverse works from eighteen artists will be installed throughout the gallery to eschew singular storytelling and instantiate multiple narratives for our fourth and final exhibition of 2023. Taking as its point of departure the fact that glass as a material fluctuates between solid and liquid, Form and Formless meditates on the slipperiness rather than the fixity of categories of identity (such as gender, sexuality, and race, among others)…”
?מה קורה כששואלים שאלה @ Temple Contemporary (Philadelphia, PA) - 2022
A solo exhibition celebrating the completion of my MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art & Architecture, Temple University. The exhibition was presented in Hebrew and translated into Arabic and English. It included paintings, drawings, sculptures, and an artist’s zine titled Economy of the Droplet. You can preview the zine and purchase a copy for your collection here.
Clockwork @ Dream Clinic Project Space (Columbus, OH) - 2022
“…Time is how we define relationships, experiences, and our physical bodies. It is a construct we’ve created to force order out of chaos, while of course creating its own set of uniquely human problems. CLOCKWORK aims to wade into the nuances of our complex relationship with time. Each piece in the exhibition incorporates a working clock, confronting or complimenting time in its own way, as each artist approaches time from their own perspective. The end result is a distinct installation that grounds you in the present moment, in your current body.”
